Fort Campbell Tries To Stop Soldier Suicides

Brig. Gen. Stephen Townsend addressed the 101st Airborne Division with military brusqueness: Suicides at the post had spiked after soldiers started returning home from war, and this was unacceptable.  "It's bad for soldiers, it's bad for families, bad for your units, bad for this division and our Army and our country and it's got to stop now," he insisted. "Suicides on Fort Campbell have to stop now."

This story as well as the one below and others I have not posted really bother me.  I've always believed that the tea parties should also take up some kind of cause in addition to all of the other ways we are active.  We collected non-perishable food items at the April 15, 2009 tea party in Franklin and donated it to Graceworks.  I hope we can find a way to make a difference in at least one of the soldiers' lives.  We owe then so much.
